Cellphone photos. Caught anything interesting lately? Post em!

I snapped this one while waiting in the drive through a few weeks ago. This, ladies and gents, is what the Toyota frame recall was all about. Pardon my dirty windows, lol. I wanted to get a closer picture, but the driver was still sitting in there!

Sort of like an articulating dump truck design maybe??? Wouldn't get high centered easily in that rig..

Love those crisp clear days!
Turning around and facing behind me:

The amount of ice on the lake really surprised me, given how unseasonably warm it has been. Back in 2013, I have pics from when I walked 3/4 of a mile out onto this same stretch of lake. We had days in the teens for weeks. I would have gone a lot further but it wasn't an easy hike, especially since I was dressed in layers looking like the Michelin Tire Man and had to step through snow and loose ice a few inches deep. This is facing almost towards the spot where I took the first pic in this post. (Although for someone from Alaska, you see this stuff all the time. :D ) Turning about 45° to the right, I could probably have walked to Canada, if it weren't for the channel that the Coast Guard cutter had made for the freighters...

It seems like cell phones are edging out computers and cameras more and more these days. Taken with an iphone 4s with a 5mp sensor - last spring. I have a 5s now. This one was taken at one of my favorite fishing spots. I usually have my Nikon P100 (10mp) or the D3200 (24.1mp) DSLR with a full complement of lenses me whenever I go fishing. I had neither with me on the day I took this shoot. I liked it enough to make it my desktop background for a while. I was surprised at how well the flare from the sun was controlled, which is on the right upper corner just out of the frame. I should go back there and take a shot or two with the 5s and see if the extra 3mp makes much difference. Pixels aren't everything though - one of my best shots ever taken was with a Nikon D100 with a very good 35-70mm F2.8 zoom lens - the D100 has a 6mp sensor.

Nice photo! As much as I want a nice camera with replaceable lenses, I just know it will be left at home 90% of the time. Cell phones will always have limitations, particularly in certain light conditions, but they have improved greatly..

Here is one I took the other day, very blotchy.. I think I need to check what the resolution is set at.. . So rare to see it flat calm out there on the fjord.. My doggie couldn't resist taking a dip!

Sitting if front of the fireplace, on one of the last cool spring evenings. Taken with an LG v20. I love the camera on this phone. Has full manual mode, with adjustable shutter speed, iso, white balance etc. Takes great night pics, with up to 30 second shutter speed.

Did a video shoot at Batsto Village here in South Jersey, and snapped a picture of my Merkur outside the mansion.
