Hibiscus plant given to us last year. I didn’t expect it to live given we’re in the relatively cold, cloudy PNW - I think we got 2 flowers last year.
It has come back with a vengeance this summer. Bunches of flowers already, and bunches more on their way. Beautiful flowers - remind me of being in Hawaii - but ephemeral. Start fading as soon as they reach full bloom.IMG_2419.jpeg

It was planted right against the back of the house, so that was a slight advantage, but it definitely froze in the winter.
On one Hawaii trip, I foolishly attended a real estate sales pitch in order to get a discount on an aerial tour, and the sales agent was amazed ater she pointed out some hibiscus and I told her I had one back in Illinois.

lol - I sat through one years ago to get a rental car for a day.
