Cerwin Speakers, but no Vega? (pic)

I am no audio historian by any means, but I have never heard of Cerwin speakers that did not include the Vega suffix. But here is the badge on a pair of Cerwin 15T's produced around 1973 or so. Was there is no Vega in the mix at the time?

yup! the first line of consumer speakers by the company. With the signature of the founder on the label.

The cabinets are not in very good shape, but at least the speakers are all there considering they have been bouncing around for 40 years.

I have an identical pair of mint 12 inchers, but they have the Cerwin-Vega logo on them, not the signature badge like these. I see the 12's come up for sale from time to time, but the 15's are quite a bit more difficult to find, especially in complete working condition.

Thought about doing something similar with spare Mach Two woofers, after acquiring a set of Allison CD7 speakers. Wonder if Allison got the idea, in his case up-firing woofers, from the Cerwin design? The Allison speakers have surprising bass response for such smallish woofers.

Wondering what the crossover is for the mid. on yours. Looks large enough to carry low enough for the woofer to simply provide "reinforcement" so to speak.

These look like a modernized version of my Jensen SS-100s
