Cerwin-Vega! sound

I love the Vegas sound as well, I used to have a pair with the 15" woofers and they will shake the house with 0 distortion! super good for bass lovers

Yes, I have a pair of AT-10's'. I bought in the late 80's. They went into storage for a decade or 2. When I resurrected them , they needed foam surrounds, and still sound great and in use as I type. They love Jazz and Rock. Why get rid of a good thing.

I bought my DX7s in 1992 because a friend had a pair of AT-10s, and I really liked the sound. My CVs have somehow survived multiple relocations (as I moved quite a bit when I was in college), a divorce, and years of abuse at the hands of a guy who liked to crank it up to the point of shaking the house to the foundations. I had the woofs refoamed a couple years ago, and they are back in service. Of course they've got a few nicks, bumps, scuffs, and scrapes...kinda like me.:D But they still get the job done with few complaints.

I have a pair of mx-250's hooked up to a pioneer vsx-D1s. They sound great, now I put Crunch Subwoofers in them and they piss the neighborhood off.

You should try a pair of the 250 with a pair of MX 400. Stacked...:nono: Talk of your neighbors not being able to hear their tv...mine came knocking one day...before i opened the door he started walking away muttering that he couldnt hear his tv...

Good to see someone else with the MX series vegas, very few on here with them...i think there are no more then 5 on here with them.

After I refoamed the AT-10's, I put them in my daughter rooms, to enjoy. She was 16 at the time and is into progressive rock. Well, I found out that the neighbors were not into that music, nor was my wife. Back into the ceiling storage area. A few years ago, we bought a house with a finished cellar and that's were they now reside. AT 90db, when I stand outside the cellar window, I can barely hear them, so the neighbors are no longer a problem. The cellar is now my listening area.

Hey Budgetaudio6
I live in the UK and had a pair of MX-250's which I sold to my nephew with conditions that if he can no longer keep them then I get first refusal on them :-)

I only sold them to him as I have had a pair of VS-120's since about 2000 and totaly love the sound,
I came across a pair of VS-150's for sale in the UK so snatched them up so I could have an equal sound top and bottom due to them being internally networked and wow do I love it even more,

I currently run....
Pioneer SC-LX87 in Direct audio mode,
Pioneer BDP-LX71 in Analogue / Optical
PC Sound Card Asus Xonar HDAV-1.3
Crown 802 running the VS-150's,
Crown 602 running the VS-120's,
Speaker Cable is Oehlbach - Cabs internally rewired also,

Well, as a new member and seeing this bump, I shall chime in.

Very little love for the CV AT-12's huh? I own a set that I bought new in '88 and re-coned some years ago. They always rocked with my Pioneer SX-720 reciever I had bought many years earlier. I was young, it was all I could afford (shrug).

I'm serious, rattle the windows.

They are now hooked to a Dennon receiver but I can't wait to get the Yamaha R-1000 fixed that my father gave me, to see how they sound on that.

I need to fix my Pioneer. Of all the things the on/off knob broke years ago and because it is a rotate on/off instead of push/pull, the last repair guy said it was hard to find (circa 1986). I still have it. Oh yeah, one of the flouroscan meters doesn't work.

I had a pair of D9's I recapped, lined with rubber roofing coating, braced and refoamed. I lost them in the big D, but I miss them. Running fancier stuff at the moment, but I miss em. They sounded really really good on some tracks. Never bad on any tracks.

317p rockers is what these turned out to be.Actually for the first time since I got them I set them up last weekend and listened to them with some volume applied.Just for kicks I had them connected to a Pioneer sx838 (50 wpc).Raised them about two feet off off the floor as they are way too boomy on the ground.Wow!They may not be for all types of music but for loud rock they sure did make me happy.
I must be the only one with these CVs here.I was very close to selling these but I think for my rock needs they are going to stay.15s just do more for my ears than 12s.

In the three years since this post I still have them and enjoy them even more.
