When I use my Analog Room #1 System the normal amp is my pair of Heathkit Williamson W-3AM monoblocks.These are from 1954 and I run those with my Jorgensen Line Voltage Corrector. It can Buck or Boost + or - 12 volts or + or - 24 volts adjustable with the control. I run these at 115 to 117 volts. Here before the "Shut Downs" I would see voltage at the AC outlet of 119-121, now voltage only changes around 1 volt in early AM listening. Mr Jorgensen has made more of these for himself all parts came from his very large collection of parts except for meter DSCN1164.JPG

How does it work in terms of adjustment range?

Say the mains voltage is 120V for sake of discussion re. the following questions -

With the mode switch in the null position, what is the full range of voltage adjustment available with the knob?

With the mode switch at buck and the range switch at +/- 12, what is the full range of voltage adjustment available with the knob?

The national standard in the U.S.A. is ANSI C84. 1. Voltage regulation requirements are defined in two categories: Range A is for normal conditions and the required regulation is ± 5% on a 120 volt base at the service entrance (for services above 600 volts, the required regulation is -2.5% to +5%)
 
kcline, are you wondering why there had been a 3 volt variation and now it's only one? Depending on your location and place on the electrical distribution grid, the increased voltage stability, now, may be due to less commercial and industrial loads on-line.
 
Started this thread just to post what I have seen I know that voltage as delivered from Duke Energy is very good and steady, however the general shut down has reduced this to what I have measured. The question about the Jorgensen Line Voltage Corrector, I did check it I think it would adjust from 0 of course to around 150 volts. My friend that built this is not available to talk to at this time
