Changing faceplate on a Macintosh C-28

Hello out there,

I own a C-28 which was completely overhauled by a specialist.
Well, because I wanted it perfectly I agreed to have changed the faceplate to a new one.
The new faceplate is a replica not a genuine Macintosh.
Anyway I don't like it. I renovated the old genuine one and now I want to change it back.
Question: Is it possible to change the faceplate on my own? Is it something one can do if he have the right tools (I think so) and time? I noticed 2 screws on the top (and I guess 2 on bottom) which held the frame in place. So after removing all the knobs then unscrew it and then it should be possible to remove the frame?
Or would you rather recommend me to have it done by a specialist (because it's tricky)?
Any comments are welcome.

Are you talking about "decal" of the switches who is on the front glass ?

To delete front panel :

-2 black screws on the left side
-2 black screws on the right side
-2 black screws on the bottom rail secure

once all the knobs are off the panel you can take it off

I just renewed 2 c28s this weekend. It's very easy to remove the face frame and then remove the glass. Remove the face with the machine screws farthest to the face on the sides, back, and top. The face frame comes apart by removing the two metal trim brackets off of the sides, then the 4 flat head screws to on top and two on bottom. Just be very very careful removing and replacing the face frame, usually the bottom is tough to push back in. Be very gentle, the glass cracks VERY easily! Good luck!
