I just bought a pair of these for $100.
But they seem to have an issue.
If there is a song with a bass, the woofer gives some kind of distortion. It goes with the music. I have the speakers for a week and there were 2 days where I thought the distortion was gone. But now i hear it again. I know for sure that the problem lays with the speakers. One of the pair doesn't have it (that bad). If i put my finger on top of the cone, the distortion is a lot less. I also live on the second floor, and my house is made out of wood, so maybe its the vibration? I don't know.
I opened it and the electronics seems fine. It's like new in there.
The woofers and tweeters of both speakers moves manually but they make a scrape noise when you do it. When i find a good spot, it does not make that scrape noise.
Also the distortion does not go up with the volume. I can only hear it when the volume is low.
Is it common that speaker have this kind of distortion over the years?
Maybe someone can help.
Thanks
