Thanks.Set the input sensitivity back to lower number. This is not a case where you're looking to necesarily match numbers. The higher the voltage the amp input sensitivity is set to, the more you're going to have to turn the preamp volume for any given sound level.
What you were expecting to happen with the amp?
When I pulled the amp out of my DJ system I originally tried the factory set .77 setting with the 30-year old Hosa TS to RCA cables, but it introduced some noise into the system when it was idle.
So then I verified I was using the correct cables (TS to RCA) and went with some canarie interconnects, tried a mogami, along with the new TS to RCA plugs, and I tried the amp again at all 3 settings.
The first time I changed the input sensitivity it was easy to switch the lever. But since then, moving the switch between the 3-positions has become difficult.
Expectations were DANG THAT SOUNDS BAD ASS.
When I have time I will put it back in the DJ system and see how it sounds. The Crown simply seems void of bass characteristics. It's just not a robust, full sounding bass like the Yammy's put out. Not sure if it's due to the amps age - but the Yammy's are even older amps.
I will shelf it for now as I don't need the amp in the system.
Thanks again for your guidance; it is appreciated.
