Chat problems

I need help from one of the Moderators I suppose. Until last week I had no problem in getting into the chat. I was in the chat and left without logging out and since then I just get an arrow rather than the usual cursor symbol when I try to click on chat. I could use some help when one of you has the time. Thanks in advance!!!!!

The "box" at the bottom of the main forums page (showing who is in chat, underneath the how many people are on the site, and birthdays) has disappeared from my screen.
