hi chaps,

i put up a wall mounted shelf thats rated to hold upto 45 pounds for my TT. i only had a single stud available in the recess where i wanted it.

all in all, minus the wooden shelf which i had on hand, it ran me 27 bucks.

thought id share this if anybody else is keen on a cheap and cheerful wall mounted TT shelf. :)

Exactly like mine. I DIYd it out of black composite wood pressboard and a single bracket after finding the beam in the wall. It made a gigantic improvement to my listening experience...prior to the shelf, I had a small issue with feedback/footfalls which is GONE now. Highly recommended for everyone who has TT feedback issues.

:D

wonder how many responses an add like that would fetch... a cheap stud. ha ha...

but seriously, getting the table onto a wall shelf makes it just about bullet proof to extraneous vibrations. i can jump around to jeffersons airplane and no worries. this is located on the 1st floor with slightly squeeky floors. the improvement to vibration resistance is well worth the 26$ spent. :)
