Actually, this brings up something that's been bothering me. I have a bunch of old RCA LPs of Chets but, sometimes, I like to listen to CDs (yes, I realize that's bad. :D). I have a 2-fer of Chet's, "Guitar Legend: The RCA Years":

It's a pretty good comp that covers a lot of his music but the quality is really lacking in some parts. I'm not sure if it's sourced from 78's and LPs but a few tracks have buzzes, dropouts, etc. Is there a good (sound quality) alternative to these Buddha Records releases? A Best-of is always appreciated.

Can't say for the other titles, but "Sails" (Columbia) album as well as "Chester and Lester" and "Chet Picks On The Beatles" (RCA) are all recorded extremely well.

Don't forget the second album from the Chester and Lester session, Guitar Monsters, released a couple of years later.
