You could create a worm hole as I do not believe the two have ever been combined. Though I could expect to see it on the breakfast menu at DeWienersnitzel

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I thought everybody knew the cheese goes into a split in the dog, before you wrap it with bacon.

More cheese on top of the chili along with the mustard and finely-chopped onions. (Onions are NOT optional)

I wonder if it would taste better using an Applegate hot dog - the cleaner wiener....

BTW--I am a hot dog lover--Like them better than a big fat hamburger.
Chile-mustard-onions-cheese with a little garlic and don't forget the bacon----I'm in heaven.

I think at this point just about every food combination has been tried with the lowly hotdog. And with the Twinky line back, some state fair will offer the Twinky savagely having a hotdog shoved through it, dipped in crepe batter, deep fried, and served with a scoop of ketchup flavored ice cream...

It could happen, but shouldn't.

Take care,

Rob

Meh, if you're going to do that, why not go all the way and deep fry, rather than broil them?

There was a guy on Triple D that did exactly that. They must have been good if he got featured in that show. I wonder how long the deep fry grease lasted with all of that bacon fat?

Ding Ding we have a winner (or weiner)! A chili cheese dog is my favorite food, much to the fiance's dismay I'd rather have one than a $150 steak dinner. Been experimenting with making some Greek coney sauce, but can't find a decent recipe. Anyone got a good chili recipe?

it's the chili that will make or break the deal......

+1

You betcha, M7!

Also, the quality of the dog makes it better eating. I like Spicy Brown Mustard with my hot dogs & a steamed doggie is pretty good eatin' too...

Man, I need to buy some Hot Dog buns soon! :D

Gonna make this for dinner tonight! Although it's still too healthy so let's add a side of poutine!

i agree but im trying to avoid some of the clean up.

pretty sure i got enough fat in em already

You could use peanut oil !....... still gotta do the clean up thang tho'.

" Peanut oil is one of the healthiest oils. It is a vegetable oil that is naturally trans fat-free, cholesterol free, and low in saturated fats. Peanut oil is high in unsaturated fats, especially monounsaturated fat, like olive oil. It is also a source of the antioxidant, vitamin E and phytosterols, which benefit heart-health. Peanut oil is also a perfect choice for healthier frying because it can be heated to a higher temperature than other oils, and this results in lower oil pick up in the food."

So says the Peanut Galler.....uh..Institute. . :D
