Chipset Lepy LP-2020A Digital Amp

finally got around to opening and photographing the chipset in the class “D” Lepy LP-2020A amp I purchased from eBay. I have 2 of the Parts Express Lepai LP-2020TI I posted the photos of it’s innards on another thread. ( http://audiokarma.org/forums/index....ess-lepai-lp-2020ti-amp.766122/#post-10925520 )

The board is marked as being made in Bukang, I am not really sure were that is. Uganda does not work, Indonesia is a jungle, Bukang-Ro perhaps, that is South Korea. Note the soldering on the main IC rather crude.

Not specifically about this unit. There was a discussion about counterfeit Lepai chips. I never did post pictures of the innards of the eBay Unit. What is interesting to me is how much less populated the board seems to be on the Parts Express amp.

One thing I am curious about if you fit a heat sink to the Chips do you just “glue” them on with heat sink goo?
