R.I.P. 1926 - 2017

Living in St.Louis my entire life gave me the opportunity to see Chuck perform live locally in different bars over the years. Most notably, The Duck Room (named for Chuck.) at Blueberry Hill, 6504 Delmar in The Loop, St. Louis.

I just heard this on the news, damn such a great performer and impact on the world of rock-n-roll. I went to see him at a small cocktail lounge/club in 1980 it was great to see him so up close and personal. I went then because I though he wouldn't be around playing much longer, he looked old to me when I was 18...

He fooled me and continued to play and tour his whole life and most of mine.

God bless you Chuck and thanks for all you brought to the world stage.

One of my favorite Carlos Santana tracks is Havana Moon not till this evening while listening to some Chuck Berry tunes I found out that Chuck wrote it . Another great one gone but not to be forgotten Thank you Chuck !
