My wonderful HK Citation 16 has developed an increasingly persistent hum and has been acting (increasingly) dodgy over the past couple of weeks. I'm so frustrated trying to find a good tech near me, but if anyone knows someone who could check it out in MA/Southern NH/RI I would be super grateful.

Have you checked with Holt Hill Audio in Lawrence MA? There'll be a wait time before it can be worked on, but that's probably not a surprise. Disclaimer: I guess I'll just say I'm not a disinterested party. But if you ask around, you'll find that HHA is an AK vendor, and gets good reviews.

Are you sure it's not an interconnect problem? Loose ground & signal connections at the input can cause symptoms that include hum.

OMG I completely forgot about them! I love their work, and overlooked that they could do this. I’ll reach out.
