Cizek SW-1 Sound Window question

Hi all,
I am the original owner of a pair of Cizek Soundwindows from early 1980s. and am looking for a little guidance from anyone familiar with these. They still sound great and are perfect for my cozy 10 x 12 foot music listening/practice room in our NYC apartment! Recently, an intermittent problem has developed in one of them, The speaker wires are secure in the clips, which also look fine, but the sound comes and goes as I wiggle the wires. Does anyone know the best way to work on these? Do I peel off the grill and remove the speaker - or is there a way to remove the little plate in the back with the clips on the back. I am handy but by no means an audio technician!

You're going to have to remove the grills, then you can get to the clips from inside after you pull the woofer. I don't know how these grills come off but it is doable.

Thanks, I'll give that a go! The grills are just glued on and may not be salvageable.. That said, they're foam and kind of beat up anyway. Any suggestions on where to get replacements?

There are many places that sell acoustically transparent foam. Just find some that appeals to you, purchase and cut to size.
