Yea, I like it too. The concept is very much in the spirit of Pueblo, where I grew up. We were always devising motorized and pedal powered contraptions and raising cars and trucks way before it became trendy to do so.

I wish I had the room to store it as I'd love to cruise it around.

I do too but toward the end it seemed rather staged. They always managed to find just the right item planted somewhere in the yard.
But yeah - the creativity that was demonstrated on that show was impressive.

A used car lot in the woods near here used to have an early 80s Ural with a sidecar. Hella cool bike, but he wanted way more than I could afford and it needed a total restoration. Even still had the original Soviet tires.

(For those not in the know, BMW built shaft-drive bikes for the German military. After the war, the tooling ended up in Soviet hands but the engineers ended up on the Allied side. So the bike world ended up with the Russians and Chinese building perfect BMW clones for another 40 years or so. As the cold war started to thaw in the 80s, the Soviet versions were sold in the US under the Ural brand name.)

Had a friend that had a Ural with the side car. He took me for a ride in it, and it was so dam strange being a passanger on a bike, much less in a side car... but it was cool as hell too.. My only problem with the Ural is they are so slow. Not gonna take the interstate on one, or if you do, you're a fool..
