Cleaner for Volume Control on Luxman Receiver

I'll be tackling the noisy volume control on my R-115 soon. I'm not sure which DeoxIT product to use - D5 or F5. One says to use on metal controls, one mentions for use on plastic and carbon controls. I really don't know enough about the volume control on these units to decide or if there's a universal recommendation for all volume controls (or if their construction varies from manufacturer to manufacturer). I'll also want to clean the pushbuttons and balance and tone controls, while I'm at it. I assume the balance and tone controls will use the same, while the pushbuttons will use D5 for metal contacts. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I don't use DeOxit myself but I believe you use D5 for potentiometers and F5 'Fader Lube" is for sliders.
