Cleaning cones and surrounds

So I've failed to protect one of my speakers, and the cats seem to picked one to sleep in front of, out of sight. There's a good amount of hair stuck to the old surrounds.

There's no damage, but there is more hair than I like. There's also 50 years of dust on the cone.

What's the safest way to clean the cone, and surrounds? Swiffers do fine for most the dust, except on textured cones. But the sticky surrounds are another matter.

Any suggestions?

I use my thrusty vacuum cleaner with a SOFT brush attachment (for the cones) and tweezers for the sticky surrounds (yes, you need patience and a steddy hand).

This is what I do also. A very soft paint brush works well for cones also.
I don't like using any chemicals or alcohol on surrounds. Tweezers for those sticky surrounds only to remove the hairy bits sticking out. It's too easy to pinch the surround trying to remove anything stuck flat. Same goes for sticky soft dome tweeters. They are just to fragile and dent very easily.

I have had some luck using drafting tape to remove dust and hair from cones and even soft domes. It somewhat similar to masking tape, but it is considerably less sticky and leaves no adhesive residue.
