Cleaning old Harman Kardon 730 twin

Just found harmankardan730twin dusty but intact.should I clean it with tuner spray or let a pro?

I lucked up and found an old dusty but intact Harman Kardon 730 twin in a house I'm remodeling the owner gave it to me.It is dusty inside and out and I'm itching to hear this puppy put my Kenwood ka770 to shame but should I totally clean it inside and out before I put power to it? I want to hear it so bad just one song before teardown or risky?

Great receiver. Blow the dust out, and fire it up. You will find that it is likely going to need some deoxit. Do a search here, there are tutorials by the dozen.
 
Congratulations on your find. It's a great receiver. I brought a very dirty one back to life. Definitely clean it before powering up.

Blow it out with air and a soft brush, pull the jumpers and test it with headphones first on FM and AUX with your phone or something. If it's not to bad try with some speakers but if it's too scratchy, channel out, etc. give it a good deox treatment (see tutorials) before trying with speakers. Good luck.
 
Based on what I've seen here (AK) you don't want to clean the tuner fins. Or at least do some searching first. Evidently you can mess up radio reception if not done correctly.
I say that because you put "tuner" in the poll heading. Everything else go for it.
