Clicking the "Home" button still logs me out every time

Hey- it's not a big deal\- as I know to still just not do it- but, if I hit the "Home" button at the top left of every page- it logs me out, and I have to put in my user name and password again to log back in.

Someone said they thought something could be done about that, some time ago- just wondering if anyone had a solution to that, yet.

It doesn't matter what machine I'm on, or if I'm using normal or private browsing. It's always with Firefox, because that's all I use...

Regards,
Gordon.

I use Firefox, and, when I click home, it always re-directs me to the Forums listing. That's what is supposed to happen. When you click on Home, what is the complete url of that page?

OK, so now, this is funny (as in both humorous and odd).

Now that I clicked on that link- I can hit the "Home" button as many times as I want- and it is NOT logging me out anymore.

Maybe some sort of a weird cache problem? I had cleared the cache before, though...

I'm going to try this on the other computers.

Regards,
Gordon.

When you log in, make sure that the url starts with https:, rather than http:

In some areas of the site, the http: access is still active, without redirects. Also, check your access link that you have stored in your browser for AK, to make sure that it connects you to https: You should be redirected to https: but maybe, for some reason, you are not.

Watch the urls on pages to visit and see what may be happening...

What's happening is that you might have been accessing AK with www.audiokarma.org. When you click "home," that URL is audiokarma.org. The browser sees that as two different sites and logs you out. I had that problem all the time until I changed my bookmark to the version without "www".

It needs to be fixed in the Apache configuration file, to redirect one to the other so it doesn't happen. I've done that on dozens of my own sites--that is the only way it can get fixed.
