Colin, aka Clmrt just shipped me an Allied 395 stereo receiver from the late 1960's, although it doesn't work (it's hungry for 3 amp fuses), I knew that going into the deal. Here's how the deal came about, Colin spotted the pair of Allied 395's in my AK signature, then proceded to check if I wanted his dead one for parts or repair, this was a prayer answered, I have one that's cosmetically challenged and he had a near mint dead one with walnut case. As it turns out his unit was cleaner than both of mine, and I found a bad diode marked FR-2 in the power supply, so, I'll get a new diode if they still make one (NTE116?), or just yank one out of my dirtiest Allied's and try to find another diode later.
