Clones of LOTTE LA-1200 & LOTTE LA-2500 (Korean)

Last sunday, I bought a Tensai set (pre and power) to replace my right-channel-cracking NAD 2700 THX. There are no words to describe how good the amp is. The crystal-clear brightness yet with deep bass and epic middle made my KEF Reference sound like upgraded speakers. And the cherry on top is that the amp is one of the sexiest that I've ever owned.

The pre is mosfet powered and sounds like the AA technics of old times but, alas, no remote so I'm keeping my Marantz as a pre.

Got them fully revised and recapped for 350€ - one of the best ROI to date.

Old thread, but those power amplifiers have pretty much nothing in common with any of the Technics amps, nor the Sony one. They're clearly inspired design-wise by the Technics design*, but are own developments by the Koreans. They're likely ok to good, definitely usable, but nowhere near in the same league as some of the top-of-the-line amps like the ones cited above.

*Technics/Matsushita was the very first company to design and sell power amplifiers with "full-face" VU meters. All the others (Sony, Onkyo, etc.) came later.
