I can't think of how to ask the correct question to get Google to give me what I want. Perhaps someone here can help.
Does anyone know of a pay-for/DIY CNC service? A place where you could upload a diagram or file then pay them to CNC the part for you? For example, I've thought about making a headphone stand, I could easily make an SVG file and probably convert that to something that a CNC router could handle. To start with, something like baltic birch ply, perhaps moving to some more exotic wood if I liked the prototype. To be clear, I'm not looking to make things to sell, more to find a way to make pieces for projects that I have in my head.
There was a local maker lab, that has gone through a few spaces and the website is, well, confusing at best. I can't tell if they're even around anymore. Owning a CNC router would be great but fare too rich for my blood at the moment. Any suggestions?
