Coke vs. Pepsi

Who drinks a Rum n Pepsi?

funny you should mention that as i was just talking to my brother the other day and this subject was brought up.(actually it was rye& pepsi) since i'm pepsi person i'll actually go into a bar and order just that, you should see the strange looks i get from the bartenders:D.truth be told some bars carry pepsi products and some coke so it's actually a 50/50 chance i will get the right product lol.

Incidentally, Pepsi is the better stock, what with FritoLay under its massive food umbrella.

Plus Quaker, Gatorade etc.

Whomever came up with Gatorade (the name, and the idea) were a couple of geniuses. At BJs wholesale club there's an entire aisle of Gatorade...

I prefer my Coke to be the imported real sugar kind, after doing an A/B test. Although, there wasn't as much difference as I expected.

I occasional change it up with a Pepsi - but never a Rum and Pepsi...

Coke. But I stay away from Ginger Ale and Dr Pepper and Sprite since they all contain the preservative, Sodium Benzoate. This ingredient has been shown to cause hyperactivity in children as well as DNA damage. No thanks.

Pepsi is alright, definitely better when flat, but I was always partial to Coca Cola Classic. No diet crap, either. :D

When I'm in the mood to really rock out, I clean the soda with deoxit, then pour some in my line-conditioner. Really cleans it out!

Hi,

Imported Coke is best. I like Swedish and Norwegian Coke best. Their Coke is made from spring water and pure cane sugar. Next best is Mexican Coke. USA Coke with the Corn Syrup is horrible. Mexican Pepsi is also superb. Dublin, TX Dr. Pepper has no equal, it's better than Mexican.

Definitely Coke, but nothing with HFCS if I can possible help it. So whenever I am in Canada (or Europe) I make sure to have a Coke and a smile!
For diet pop, I like diet A&W, Coke Zero, or DP.
In every case, beer (esp Canadian) is better!!!

Well, a good healthy discussion of Coke vs. Pepsi, yes sometimes I prefer beer over both also! And I much prefer Canadian Coke over American Coke also; (If I recall correctly reading the ingredients of both I think one is pure sugar and the other is glucose). Plenty of witty responses from intelligent minded Audiokarma members,

I like this one...

I've found that when using a the mid-eastern technique of "bi-strawing", that the whole experience of drinking soda becomes much more articulate in it's presentation.
.

Yes, it is said to some debate that "bistrawing" can increase your satisfaction. If you connect two straws to your can you can separate the flow to the lower and upper tastebuds, thus increasing the presentation. Some cans come constructed for this, others don't. But perhaps "those who burn brightest burnout the soonest" -your beverage will be gone sooner.....

The point is, for those who got it, this is a response to a recent cable debate. There are many who pick sides, but who here on this thread has gotten defensive and suggested they have done the test and could not tell the difference, therefore nobody else can either? Nobody has stated "Why do you waste money on Coke, RC cola is just as good and its half the price, it is snake oil, you're an idiot!"

Why does this happen with cables?

Gatorade was developed at the University of Florida by a team of medical researchers lead by Dr. Robert Cade in 1965. The drink was created for use by the Gator football team during summer workouts, and was named in honor to the team.

I haven't read the whole thread, but wanted to suggest a little experiment I have performed myself several times already. Take six identical glasses. Fill three of them with Coke, three with Pepsi, all to the same level. Then have people taste the contents and say which glasses contain Coke and which Pepsi.

I have never met anybody who could clearly distinguish Coke from Pepsi in this test - never!

Enjoy! :D
