Combined HT & Critical Listening in Lounge

Recently offloaded a crappily built suburban McMansion and moved to a small inner city rental while we wait for something to appear to buy nearby. Offloaded a heap of 'yet-to-be-repaired' & 'Low/Mid-fi' gear in the process and kept the 'better' stuff but still have a lot more to offload yet. Had to combine the Home Theatre and 2-ch 'critical listening' systems into the one space as it's all we now have but managed to make it all fit with the bonus of a high WAF ;) I no longer care much about Home Theatre hence the calibre of Receiver & 5.1 setup but it's still a bit of fun and nice to have. I do enjoy pure, unmolestered (flat-EQ) 2-ch audio though and the Yamaha, Perreaux & MLs deliver that effortlessly :)

Gear in this system currently includes (from top to bottom of rack):

- Yamaha PX-3 Linear Tracker TT
- Yamaha low-end Digital Surround Receiver
- Wharfedale WPR-26 Speaker Comparator
- Yamaha C-70 Pre Amp
- Yamaha M-70 Power Amp
- Perreaux SM2 Pre Amp
- Perreaux TC2 Tone Control
- Perreaux 3000B Bridged - Left
- Perreaux 3000B Bridged - Right

- M&K SX-7 Satellites (x5)
- Yamaha YST-SW150 SubWoofer
- Martin Logan Ascent i

- 65" UHD BAUHN TV (ALDI cheap & cheerful)
- Chromecast 2

Nice! It's good to see I'm not the only one with a "hybrid" stereo/surround system (due to still being in college for me).

Yeah, only 'Hybrid' in that it shares the same space & rack though! The 5.1 system and the 2-Ch system are not interconnected in any way. Hard to see in that pic but the Left, Centre & Right speakers are hiding in the slot opening of the timber TV cabinet. The Martin Logans are only used for 2-Ch listening, never as part of the 5.1 system.
