Compare Advent Walnuts to Avid 330............might switch

Ok,so i have no more room for speakers.I already have the Advents which sound really good on my smaller system(Pioneer SX7).But back in the day i had a pair of the Avids and remember them as sounding awsome thru a Sansui AU7700.I would like personal opinions on this to sway me because i could be getting excited to get the Avids and dont want to make a mistake as i have a quick buyer for the Advents for 200.00 which is the same price as the Avids.Both sets have very nice cabs.

So you're saying you may want to go from the Advents to the Avid 330's? Having had a pair of each back in the day I would recommend staying with the Advents. I could never warm to the sound of the 330's (dry with fatiguing highs) but who doesn't like the sound of the Advents.

If it’s possible, bring the Advents with you when you check out the Avids? The seller may enjoy the experience as well. Of course the system may make a difference.

I just happen be be sitting in front of a pair of OLA's and Avid 330s. Sound is night and day. As you probably know, the Advents are more forward, while the Avids have such a wide soundstage. I can't decide which I like better, I think it depends on the music I'm listening to. It doesn't matter for a while, both pairs are staying until my Wharfedale W70d's are restored. Then I will likely have a tough decision to make.

Have never heard Avid 330's, however Avid 103's are amazing!!
I sold my pair of Advents (The New Advents - with bull nosed Walnut finish) in favor of keeping the Avids.
