I already have a TU 717 which matches my AU 717,very nice to look at but I found a tuner I fell in love with back in the 70s which was an TU 7900 for 230.00 Which I also had the AU 7900.
So,not that I'm going to get rid of the one I have,is there a quality difference in these two tuners.

Pretty equal in quality. The 717 is a generation newer and so technologically a bit more advanced and has the added feature of a dual IF path for normal and wide.
