Complete 1969 system!

I realise this might be the wrong place (Moderators, please move to '$&c', and abuse me if required - edit: Thank you sir! May I have another...:)), but I noticed this on the 'bay this morning and thought "Wow, some people keep this stuff a long time!" No affiliation except that they live within 60km.

From the text, it was bought as a unit in 1969 (including cabinet - although I'm not sure if this is a Sansui cabinet) and seems to have only suffered a lack of cleaning since. If only everyone was this careful with their old equipment (we wouldn't have to pay so much for the bits that are left). The link is here and this is a list of the items:
* Sansui Stereo Receiver 331
* AA-3900 Speakers X 2
* FR-1080 stereo Turntable
* Original manuals for Turntable, Reveiver & Speakers
* Original cabinet

That's really cool. I'd love to bid on something like that...if it wasn't over 9.000 miles away I just might bid on that one :)

Not sure about '77-'79. I remember selling them in the early '70s. Part of the xx1 series.

I asked, and the serial number is 017021927 - so it's a February 1977 unit. I'm guessing rose-coloured memories, sometimes you forget replacing that old unit with something newer (especially when it was 30 years ago). I'd better post that s/n to Sansui forum.

Did anyone other than me notice that the list of equipment includes a Sansui Receiver, but if you look at the close up pictures, it clearly shows a Pioneer Receiver?:scratch2:

If you have a look at the text, you'll see an update:
"Given that the Sansui Receiver seems to have problems with the volume control as described, I have added a Pioneer Receiver Model SX-434 which is going perfectly and works with the turntable and speakers. My husband reminded me that he bought this two years ago for $85, and that it works with the Sansui components. I have added a pic. of the Pioneer Receiver."
The receiver in the system photo is the 331, as is the close-up of the rear. The close-up of the front must have been removed when the SX434 got added in to the auction.

So both receivers are included? To bad it is so far away.

Probably.

Just around the corner from me, but space is sadly lacking (had to pass on a Metaxas Iraklis integrated last weekend for the same reason). Maybe if we got rid of the dogs...:)
