Completed restoring JBL L-100's this week.

This week I finished a five month restoration on my JBL L-100's. I think they sound and look great. I really did not need to do much to get them back into usable order. When I got them in my opinion all they needed was new foam around the tweeters, new grill fronts and some elbow work on the cabinets. I like the 70's sound of the original crossover and midrandge's. Also the tweeters are not titanium. I don't have much money into them at all so there's that as well. I think that Sculpted Foam did a fantastic job on the grill fronts. Here are a few pictures.

Thanks guys. The burnt orange was the most sold color for JBL. It does take a bit getting use to I have to admit but its growing on me. I am really having a hard time with the war department with them though. She wants them to be retired to the basement already. LOL. Give it time babe! They sound great.

Just tell her it's "Antique" and worth a lot of money. That sometimes cools them off..... I get away with a lot of stuff with that line - I just have to keep the amount of stuff in the house under control.

Brings back memories seeing these in my local Harvey Sound store, sound rooms back in the 70's.
