Component tester, Chinese, anyone have/use?

There have been a few of this kind of thing on sale from there, generally well received and overall reasonable to good (if sometimes quirky) performance.
 
I bought one from another AKer the other day. No instructions with it. It's not in my hands yet but I plan on taking it to the Spring AK meet in a couple weeks to get coached on using it. The one I got is in a case with test leads and the socket adaptor that plugs in where the leads fit.

It either came damaged or I damaged it using an AC power source. I then bought a kit for the same tester. It was very easy to build and worked from the start. I used the second tester to find a faulty 2N5401 transistor on the first one. Upon replacement the first one now works. There are some subtle differences in the programming that affects the display but they both give similar and repeatable readings. In many respects it is much better than a DMM when it comes to transistors and capacitors. These things go for less than $15 so what do you have to lose?
 
I received the one I got on BT yesterday, I've played with it a little. It's really pretty straight forward & the seller pointed out that there are youtube videos on how to use it. Very handy for matching transistors, reading cap values, and verifying resistors ( I'm colorblind, the color bands do me little good.)
 
Does anyone know if this thing will measure inductors? Hopefully both mH and resistance. I have some old crossover parts I may try to repurpose...
 
I've got one of those Mega 328 testers. Use it quite a bit as a matter of fact. Pretty interesting all in one gadget.

I took a 2N4274 transistor and tested it. Gain reading was 28 on it.

Compared the hFE reading to the readings from a Sencore TF151 transistor/fet tester and a Heathkit IT-3120 transistor tester and both of those read extremely close. The TF151 provides an A/C signal and the IT-3120 provides a d/c voltage for it's readings.
