I inherited this turntable. It’s nice and all wood with aluminum. However the sound coming out of the turntable is extremely low. I can barely hear it through the speakers when it’s at full volume. But I can here it. Here is what I have done so far:
1. Changed cartridge with one I knew worked and tested the cartridge on my other turntable. Both cartridges work and both have the exact same result on the Concept 2QD.
2. Tested for continuity on all the wires from the tonearm to the circuit board. No problems.
3. Tested continuity on initial circuit board for the tonearm. No problem.
4. The auto start and repeat also do not function.
5. Visual inspection of the circuit boards revealed no obvious blown components like resistors, capacitors, transistors, etc.
6. Turntable responds to manual queuing. Lights come on and it spins. Auto tonearm return also works.
I’m a bit at a loss as to where to go from here. Any ideas or tests I could do would be helpful. Thanks!
