Looks like the seller just installed a 1/4" input jack. Not sure the "mod" mentioned is just that jack wired in or other circuit changes to make it sound more like a guitar amp. I've done a few mods of such kind with tube readio's and projector amps, but the results weren't all that great really. Speaker would play a huge roll in guitar amp sound as well and the stock speaker in that radio will probably be mediocre.

And the asking price is just.....IDK, with that money, you can get an original 60's Fender deluxe.

Cool idea and it may well sound great but yeah, that price is way out there.
