Connecting a preamp/tuner to KA-8006 Integrated

Before doing something stupid I am asking for advice.

I have a KA-8006 integrated amp. The KA-8006 does not have "Pre-Out"/"Main-In" RCA connectors. Only Out/In for 4 Channel decoder/amp.

I just scored a working NAD Preamp/Tuner. Don't know why I grabbed it, the price was right.

I got to thinking that the NAD phono section is better than the KA-8006's phono section and the NAD tuner is better than the Realistic TM-1000 currently being used.

The only way I can think of to connect the NAD to KA-8006 is to an AUX on the KA-8006, but intuitively, I think this might be a bad idea as the signal would be running through both preamps (NAD and Kenwood). Would I damage the KA-8006 by doing this?

If you use the tape out of the NAD into the AUX or Tape inputs on the 8006, no problems.

If you use the main output of the NAD, affected by volume, tone, balance and such, you might not have as good a balance between what is coming out of the NAD and what the KA wants to see at the AUX or Tape inputs.
