Connecting a Rose150b to C2700

Newbie here. I have a Rose150b streamer that I want to connect to my McIntosh c2700 preamp feeding mc275 amp. I primarily use Rose player to stream 4k videos on TV with sound going to my Klipsch speakers. I have been connecting my Rose150b directly to the MC275 with xlr cables and an hdmi cable to the TV (arc). I am going to introduce a C2700 preamp into the equation so I can easily switch back and forth between regular TV watching and Rose 150b music/video streaming. So, my question is how best to connect the rose. I would like to play TV sound through the stereo (so I think hdmi arc from TV to DA2 module on C2700). However, occasionally I want to watch Rose150b 4k vids and hear the sound on my stereo. So, if I connect the Rose150b hdmi out directly to the TV and the rose xlr outs directly to the C2700, will that work to allow videos to be seen and synchronized sound to be heard? Will it also allow for the TV to still be connected (through hdmi arc) directly to the C2700 DA2 hdmi audio only input to allow for regular TV watching sounds to come through my stereo system? Last question, are XLR outputs from Rose150b to C2700 the best outputs to use for sound quality? Or should I use USB, coax, optical, or something else?

It sounds complicated but you may want to check out using the “passthru“ on the C2700 for one of the connections. You can read up on it in the manual. Good luck.

I think the easiest way is to add a DAC. Then you can use the DAC as a switch. You can pick and chose which inputs are being used.
