Connecting Xbox One to Vintage Yamaha Amp?

Any tips on connecting a Xbox One to a Vintage 70s Yamaha Amp? Would I need a DAC for this or just go straight AV cables. Currently the Xbox, TV and my 70s Yamaha TT are connected through a more modern Pioneer receiver, but I would like to use my Yamaha Amp as it probably has better sound for a TT to run through and it just looks better.

If you TV has analog audio output, you can hookup the xbox to it with HDMI, and use the analog outputs to the vintage amp.

That's what I do with my PS4. HDMI from PS4 to TV, then a 3.5mm to RCA cable to my preamp. This basically uses the TV as a DAC.

Very cool had no idea they had stuff like that my old Sony amp dosnt seem to work well anymore tho and not sure how to fix it . The distortion you can hear but it’s s unit with CD player etc old htib stereo. It had 5’.1 ch anolog input but my dad was too cheap to buy me DVD player with input it was $150+. Never used Dolby’s digital 1 on the unit.
It’s very obsolete but I liked it nice bass boost !
