Console question. Is this a good deal?

I was looking around the Atlanta crag list when I saw this console. I found several threads on Silvertone tube gear, but I lack the knowledge to recognize what this has in it. It looks like it might be nice though. Thanks for any help.

It looks like their late tube gear. If so, it probably has a 6BQ5-based amplifier that works quite nicely, whether in the console, or pulled for other applications. Given that this console looks pretty nice, you'd probably wat to try and keep it together.

Hey Hammr, thanks for the help. Is there a model number or something that I can use to look it up or should I look it up under the tubes? Sorry for the silly questions. I know very little about these things, but it looks like a very nice unit.

Well it looks like there no model # in the ad. So you'er going to have to do some research old sears ads woud be a good place to start. goodluck:thmbsp:

there were a few other stereo tube variants, but this provides an idea of what you might find.

Thanks guys. Hammr, thanks again, that looks like a very nice thread and a very good place to start. My other option atm to try out tube is a Fisher 400 receiver, but it would need 4 7868 tubes just to see if it works. Anyway, thanks again, you've given me a great place to start looking.
