Someone please scoop this up. There are two mono single ended el84 tube amps in this thing. Easy to mod for stand alone amps. There are several threads about these and a set for sale in barter town right now. They make nice sounding 5wpc amps and can also pull duty as guitar amps. I don't need more projects, but these are very tempting! No affiliation. Sac. Ca. Craigslist. It missing some tubes. The price is just fair.
 
$99 is a fair price. These used to go for $5-20, but they've been moving up as more get restored, parted out, or tossed. A complete working one is worth $200-300, and you can part these out into $200+ fairly easily. All the reel-to-reel parts are worth money too.
 
Tubes for these amps can be had cheap. Even good sounding ones. Even if the windings were shot in the power trany on the one without tubes. Its worth it. One would still make a good guitar amp or mono setup. I dought very much if the tranys on that side are.bad. the rest is just a few cheap caps and resistors.

I could re tube both amps for around $60. That's using Russian EL84 M's only need two at $20 a pop. And signal tubes are cheap and plentiful.
 
Besides the tubes, those units have monoblock amps that are easily separated from the rest of the tape deck for stand-alone use. Lots of threads about them in the archives.
 
Those mono-blocks are probably fine for their intended purpose but Roberts mono-blocks aren't that highly thought of from the research that I'd done. I had a couple pair of them a while back and I left them connected to their rtr's and sent them on their way
