Actually,there are good cost savings to be had. The cutters are available at any craft store for less than $15. Producing the label indent is only limited by your own creativity,which,last time I checked,was free.So,for $45 all in,I now have three platter mats for less than the cost of your option,which is one mat for $59 plus shipping/taxes. Mind you,I have more than 1 table,so none went to waste.

Now that I think about it I have a large contractors compass that could make a circle that big. I could put my Exacto knife in it and put a fresh blade on it for a clean cut. It would mark the center that way also. That could work out OK.

Sounds like a good plan. So long as the blade is locked into position,you should be able to get a nice,clean,vertical cut.
I already had a rolling cutter on hand as I use it for cutting replacement vinyl for recovering musical instrument amplifiers,so that seemed like a better idea than the Exacto.
It seems like every time I pick up that (bloody) knife,the next thing I'm picking up is the sewing kit

Only thing is I suspect I would get bevel to the edge. Ye I can lock it in where a writing instrument would go, so it should be pretty safe to use.

I used to use a planter cork mat with a black backing glued to it. Switched to a homemade cork mat made from a 1/8th inch thick sheet of cork from Jo-Ann Fabric. Cost $3! Have never looked back from that move.

I have tried cork, the sock mat, Reso Mat and GEM Dandy R.C.C. Turntable Mat on my JVC QL-y66F with a AT ART-9 cartridge.

By far, the GEM Dandy is the best. Really brings out the mids and upper bass. Vocals are cleaner and stronger. At $60, this is a really good buy. I'm was a skeptic at first, but I like what I'm hearing.
