Cornwall II questions

There's a nice pair of Cornwall II's for sale locally for $700, appear to be one owner and in very nice shape. Are they worth the price?

It appears the CW II's are made out of particle board and drivers loaded in the front, correct?

Price? If you aren't looking for a steal, yes. It's a fair price for a VG+ pair.

Particle board? No, MDF, which is different animal (if related). MDF is good stuff.

Paid $680 for 1986 oak oil finish CWII's a little over a year ago. I'd say they are VG+ with the original cane fronts. If the demo goes well: Pull the trigger, man! You won't be sorry. I've got a long time to hear all of my music with them and they continue to delight and amaze. Not to mention, i don't see Cornie II's come up often.

Regarding the pricing being just slightly on the high side... if that's his asking price, he's probably figuring to go down $50 or so.

And yes, the 15" woofs are front mount for the Cornie II. I recently replied to Bob Crites with measurements of mine as he's working on having front mount woofs avail in the next month or two. :thmbsp:
Very glad as my left woof is showing signs of age.

I'd show him a $650 bid if the condition is as described. Cash in hand speaks volumes. Good luck.

I have a pair of IIs and i love them , if those were around here i would be all over them even at the price hes asking dont pass them up ! Enjoy.
