Cornwall risers?

I've seen pics of Cornwalls on risers

My Cornwall II's don't have risers, they are flat on the floor. Which seems to couple the bass well: they're on hard wooden floors.

Is there an advantage to using the risers?

I think I read they were an optional addon, but the search function isn't working yet so I can't research it. If anyone has the plans/dimensions I could always build a set.

Thanks!

CW II's risers were falling apart as well when I bought them. I made new ones out of 3/4" birch and concur with @dmar's measurements of 23.5'' x 14.5'' x 2'' (OD)
