Cornwall Speaker Grills

Hello guys

I have been looking online and searching the forums for some opinions on grill cloth.

As the heading states, I have Klipsch Cornwall speakers and I would like to make fresh grills for them. Something to compliment the black birch Cornwall and an attempt to make this large awesome speaker more... accepting to the Mrs. If that's possible lol.

I have looked around online and I have a couple questions...

1) Which style or brand would be the most acoustically transparent?

2) I see shops showing guitar amp material also, like for Fender amps etc. Is there a difference between that type of material and say, "typical" cloth for a loudspeaker grills?

3) And lastly, any opinions on color to go with black birch? (I was thinking tan or beige possibly, the cane material looks awesome but is expensive!)

Any tips or helpful info would be hugely appreciated!!

Thank you.

The cane would be awesome and elevate them to a new level of WAF. Bob Crites sells material that is very close to original but it may be available in black only. I’m not sure. Critesspeakers.com. I have no affiliation.
