Does anyone have the correct settings for 2A3's for the Eico 666?
I have the 1978 Colemans, but it overloads the tester.moving the v and s levers to 1 & 2(chart says 2 & 3) seems to work,but I would like to make sure
Thanks

ok; sh 21, fil. 2.5, sel 3, up 2 and 3, down 4

That's out of an updated supplement for a 625 but I think it will work.

The pattern of settings seem to be different, mine are:

2.5 fil grid 55, plate 70, levers 24511 11111, V3, S2, leak 2-3, merit 2

If I change to V2 S1 it seems correct, but I just want to make sure.I found 2 NOS RCA in storage while cleaning up

Now that's what I call a nice find! :thmbsp: Those testers must be more different than I imagined. I use mine specifically for compactrons as it has a special adapter that mounts on the side and plugs into the appropriate tube socket. Ron sold it to me dirt cheap when I was building the 6JM6 compactron amp and had no way to test them. Ron's a good dude ya know. Are the tubes you found regular style bi-plate RCAs? What filament style are they? Some have what I call fishing poles holding the filaments up and out the top of the tube. From the reading I've done on the design of that tube, the filament was the hardest part, but I can't remember why. I need to learn a lot more about these tubes, are you going to build an amp? You sure have a good excuse now.:D

I have no plans for the tubes,I would need 2 more for pp,I'm contemplating bringing them to the NY/NJ get together on the 12th,(as trading fodder)The filaments appear to be completely inside the plate structure, they look like they are looped over 2 bars pressed against the top mica,It looks like a double plate structure like an H looking down on the plate,Grey plate
