Countdown problem

I acquired this LED display countdown clock and have not been able to make it "start" the countdown. It was originally used @ a local watering hole and was put on a shelf after being used just one time. I can change all four displays using the SET switch( days/hours/minutes/seconds) but have no frickin idea as to make it start the countdown.

The display has four micro switches (upper right) that are labeled SET - + OK. There are no other controls/switches other than what is on the face.

Any ideas boys and girls?

Have you tried holding any one of them down for up to 30 seconds, or pressing two, or more, buttons simultaneously?

I have, holding the OK switch (this switch only) for 5 seconds will start all four (HMDS) sections to increment from 01 to 08. Then repeat the cycle continuously until the OK switch is pressed once again. But never starting the countdown.

Has to be something simple. :smoke:

Can you call "local watering hole" and ask them if anyone knows?

Steve

Maybe not. He said he acquired it there, but they may not know that.:D

I was going to suggest contacting a Mayan expert. Maybe they can get the countdown to start.:scratch2:

Thought about that, but the limit of this clock is only 99 days, 24 hours, 60 minutes and 60 seconds. Maybe I do have the official "End of mankind" clock and don't know it. :scratch2: If so...................

.......For sale, one slightly used countdown clock. Will trade for Time Machine.

Boy are YOU dumb.

Don't you know the world ended May 21? The countdown is over!!

(You really need to get out more often)

I have a countdown clock, too. We set it for vacations, birthdays and Christmas. It's quite the conversation piece.

Ours has 3 switches: Run, advance and select.

There is also an 800 number: Data Display Systems. 1-800-220-1270. Maybe they can help you.

Good luck!
