Counter weight for SL-1300

I got SL-1300 (not MK2) without counter weight. Looked on eBay - nothing. Some claim that other SL models will fit, but these weights look different and I prefer the "correct looking" weight.

Does SL-1300 weight unique to SL-1300 only? Is there other then eBay places to get one?

The counter weight from the SL1200MKII will work it's a bit heavier but not by much and should make a difference in balancing the arm.

In addition to the 1300, the counterweight for the 1350, 1400 and 1500 are the same. It may be that there are others. Good candidates would be the 1600, 1650, 1700, 1800, 1900, 2000, D1, D2 and D3.

You might want to go to the Vinylengine and browse through various service manuals and see which tables use the same part number.

I prefer for the exact "SL-1300 looking" weight, rather then a one that "fits".

Great idea on Vinyl Engine part numbers. I am hoping maybe someone already did this search and knows the answer.

I think the only visual matches will be the tables in that model range, in other words, the "MK1" SL-1300, 1350, 1400 and 1500.

I have a bunch of them, send me a private email.

I attached 2 pictures to show how the counter weight looks. They are not my pictures; I got these 2 photos from internet.

I have a pair of SL-1600's and the counterweight looks exactly the same as in those photos. Looks like you could snag a weight off an SL-1200-1700 and it will either be an exact replacement or look so close you couldnt tell the difference.

No, the 1200 Mk2 and above, as well as all MK2s, are quite different in appearance, though it will fit and work. The "MK1" 1200 is an entirely different animal, whole different system.
