I recently picked up a Pioneer PL518 TT less counterweight.
Thought of my brother-in-law who was a machinist by trade and asked if he could make one.
Sure, piece of cake!
If this is successful, would others be interested in this service?..

There might be an interest in replacement or larger counterweights but the open forums isn't the place to advertise this. That is for subscribers to post in Barter Town the only place to buy sell and advertise. Only 25 a year so it is cheap.

There are lots of different counterweights and many have a rotating scale on them to set tracking force which would be hard to duplicate for each arm. NBD, many are using electronic scales to set the force these days. The different diameter arms will also make these weights less than universal. For many the correct weight is necessary and for that there is Organ Donor Parts, an AK sponsor. You might want to check their site and the bay to see what the going rate is for a counterweight. But someone that could make parts for a turntable on demand would be very helpful on AK.
