I have a SL 20E I am going to re tip myself, how does it sound?

Nice dustcover. I've been contemplating getting one from JNB - if that's the kind of work they do, I'm going for it.

If you have JNB make one I would measure the exact size for the AR XA and add hinges, constant torque type like theses

I added some aluminum base plates for added support, but their tops are pretty strong.

No, mine would be for a Kenwood KD-4100. I've already checked, and they do make one for that. I'll re-use the hinges from the existing cover, which looks pretty sad overall - but the TT is fine.

The SME arm is a great sounding arm with so many provisions for tuning and getting everything right. They don't seem to be the popular arm with SME owners but I find when set up they sound very good. It doesn't look like you have the damper trough or paddles for yours, you should check into adding it to your arm, just another tool to use to fine tune your arm.
