CR 820 humming noise in the phono stage

I just got a Yamaha CR-820 off Goodwill. Everything works great, except the Phono section. There is a noticeable hum under the music (Turntable is a Garrard DD75). The hum is there even with no music playing. Switching to Phono 2 turns the noise into a "clicking" noise. I have checked the ground wire with both ground studs. It's fine. The noise goes away when I unplug the RCAs from the back of the receiver.

I welcome any ideas on where to start.

The jacks on the receiver or the turntable? I have another turntable to see if it does the same thing...
