CR-820 Sparks!

Friends! While awaiting parts I decided to recap an 820 I had on the shelf. Upon powering up saw some sparking from underboard. Flipped it up and saw that sparking coming from C743. Pulled it and found esr was 2.2 ohms. Installed new and same thing happened. I’m using the original output trannies as they tested good. Thoughts?

Perhaps a broken solder pad or trace on or around C743..

You got it! Had to pull the outputs and remove the end frame to get a real good look. No more sparking and the protection relay picks now. Right channel sounds good, but no left channel at all. This is my third 820 and 2 of 3 have had left channel issues…? Makes ya wonder!
I have the signal gen and oscope out for some signal chasing. I know this model is notorious for crappy grounds. Any other notorious issues? Should I start a new thread for no left channel?
