CR-840 schematic in 6 parts

I haven't been able to find the CR-840 schematic out on the webs.

All the service manuals I've found online are from the same scan and they are missing pages 13 and 14 which contain the schematics. They also contain two extra pages of circuit board images inserted between p10 and p11 which are from an unrelated machine.

I can't fix the old SM scan, but I can offer the missing schematic in colour in 6 parts. Not much of an image editor, so I haven't tried to join them. If anybody can do so, please post it.

For those who are brave enough to tackle the 840 in spite of the IG/STK parts issues, I hope this helps!

EDIT, I figured out a way to shrink the files without touching resolution. Adding parts 1-3...

Originally 3 of the 6 files gave me a "too large" error, so you can DL the set of 6 in a zip file here. Possibly less dithering on those

ring .... I am one of those silly fools willing to attempt to tackle the CR-840 ... Just wondering if you have a Kinkos or similar print shop in your area ... I would be willing to compensate your efforts next tuesday for a copy today

Also when you zoom in on the pics ... you can see through the print ... looks like the parts layout

just saw this . thanks . managed to make a D sized print in color maybe larger ! was a great help unit is now up and running . THANKS for your help

For anyone else struggling with the CR-840 service manual saga, I just bought a PDF scan from Analog Alley and it's the right one (with the proper schematic pages) and is very high quality, color, etc. That version floating around with the wrong pages in the middle had me stumped for a while :-)

And a one page schematic in high resolution.

I just rebuilt a CR-1040. It was a "freebie" and too good looking to toss. I had all the necessary parts including the STK modules on hand. The owner must have been cranking it :rockon:when it blew. The first time I saw a ceramic cap exploded right next to an STK.

Sometimes you wanna be in the room when it happens...Other times, no, not really.
